Battleship Classic & Battleship Surface Thunder

It's like two great games in one!

Fans of the original Battleship game can choose to play the classic hit-and-miss style game on three different grid sizes. Or play a totally unique game of naval warfare, Battleship: Surface Thunder.  In it you take command of your own battleship and sink enemy convoys, attack shore gun emplacements and free captured ports in an all-out effort to defeat a renegade empire. Both modes feature fantastic graphics, animations and sounds. Batten down the hatches and get ready for naval combat action at its best.

The classic game of naval strategy reaches new levels of fun and excitement in the Battleship: Surface thunder game. Get ready for fast-paced action as you take command of your very own battleship. In the arcade adventure, set sail for hostile waters where you'll fight a renegade navy intent on overthrowing a peaceful kingdom. You'll have your  hands full as you blast shore emplacements, attack shipping convoys, and match your wits with enemy ships, planes and submarines. Power-ups will give you the health, speed and weapons you need to fight your way past enemy forces. Also, enjoy an updated version of the classic Battleship game, where wits and strategy count for as much as sheer firepower.  




Classic Mode

Based on the classic board game of naval warfare, the Classic mode pits your fleet of 5 ships - ranging from the mighty aircraft carrier to the small but deadly PT boat - against your enemy's fleet. Each player secretly places his or her ships on a battle grid. Players then take turns firing shots at their opponent's grid in an effort to locate and sink enemy ships. Ships that are  hit burst into flames but don't sink until they've been hit by a sufficient number of shots.  The larger the ship, the more shots it will take to sink it.  Keep track of your misses and concentrate your fire around shots that produce a hit in order to sink your opponent's fleet. The winner is the player who has a ship afloat when all the enemy vessels are sunk.


Arcade Adventure

Get ready to leave the board game behind and venture into hostile waters.  Your neighboring country's friendly King has fallen ill and can no longer rule. His son, Good Prince Dudley, has taken the King's place on the throne. But Prince Dudley has mysteriously disappeared while traveling and the shady Lord Drash has assumed control in Prince Dudley's absence.  Lord Drash's first act as ruler was to launch an unprovoked and devastating surprise attack on your surface fleet. Enemy forces have sunk all the ships in our fleet - except the lone battleship under your command. You must locate Prince Dudley and restore him to power.  But it won't be easy, even with a mighty battleship. You'll have to blast your way past enemy ships, heavily armed fortresses, hostile airplanes and lurking sea creatures in a series of ever more challenging missions.  You can't simply rely on your ship's awesome firepower - you'll need new weapons, power-ups and a bit of luck as you right a lonely battle to restore the Prince to the throne.
