December 7, 1941 - The day all Americans will forever remember!

The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor lasted for only four hours...but it was these four hours which would change the American people's attitude about going to war.  3,435 Americans dies on that day and eight battleships, three cruisers, 3 destroyers, and seven supports ships were either sunk or badly damaged. The USS Arizona lost 1,177 of its crew and the USS Oklahoma 400. The training ship USS Utah was sunk with five on board together with the USS Virginia. The USS Maryland, the USS Nevada, the USS Pennsylvania and the USS Tennessee were all badly damaged. 164 aircraft were destroyed and 159 damaged. But the Japanese could not count Pearl Harbor as an absolute success. They managed to destroy or disable most of the Pacific Fleet, but the aircraft carriers were not in Pearl Harbor at the time of the attack. It was these carriers which would turn the tide of the war at the Battle of Midway. The shipyards fuel tank depots and Pearl Harbor's submarine base all remained relatively unscathed. 

In Pearl Harbor Attack! Attack, you must shoot down all the Japanese Zeros before they start to bomb Pearl Harbor. Only if you succeed in this task can you rewrite the history books. The screen will provide you with how you are doing.  The Zeros will attack in several waves, so be sure to cover the full 360 degrees with your weapons, even if there are no Zeros to be seen in the current sector on display. Don't ever hit one of your own units in the heat of battle...you'll lose a lot of points and that could turn the tide against you.  After each level, you'll receive a damage report telling you how much damage the Zeros caused.  So get ready to battle it out!
