I bought 4 of these for stocking stuffers. 3 out of 4 didn't work. 1 of them cranked, but the battery would not charge and the light never worked. 2 of them had stripped gears and wouldn't crank the internal generator. I managed to canabilize the gears from the first device and put them into one of the devices with stripped gears to get 2 out of 4 working. Very disappointing. These are cheaply made with high failure rates. Even if they work they are simply a novelty that will not likely last more than a few uses. Beware.
