General Information

When equipped with LTO-5 tape drives, the Imation L1200 LTO 2U Tape Library delivers the highest LTO storage capacity (up to 1.5 TB natively on each Imation LTO-5 tape cartridge, or up to 3.0 TB with 2:1 software compression) and data transfer rates (up to 140 MB/sec) to date; this gives a total capacity of up to 36 TB native (72 TB with 2:1 compression). This combination of performance and capacity enables SMBs to keep pace with growing demands for data storage while helping to shrink archive windows.

In addition to its 24 data cartridge slots (contained in two removable cartridge magazines), the Imation L1200 LTO 2U Tape Library includes a single mail slot to help support continuous library operation while importing and exporting media. A bar-code reader is also standard, supporting the library's operation in sequential or random access mode.
