In Passing Glory, the game's the same, but the rules are different - white teams can compete for the high school basketball championship in 1965 Louisiana while black teams can only stay home and wonder what if? Idealistic priest Joseph Verrett (Braugher) and the black prep-school squad he coaches challenge the social order in this thrilling story of the era-changing game that matches Verrett's talented players against a championship all-white prep team. Veteran actor Harold Sylvester wrote the script from the heart and from experience - he played on Varrett's team, and the film's Travis Porter (Squire) is based on him. Rip Torn, Ruby Dee, Bill Nunn, and Daniel Hugh Kelly also star.
