SonicWALL Clean Wireless™ features.
A wide range of innovative features incorporated into SonicWALL SonicPoint Series wireless access points provide seamless; secure wireless LAN (WLAN) connectivity as well as advanced performance and management.
Comprehensive wireless security.
SonicPoint-N Series access points are capable of Wireless Intrusion Detection Services, wireless firewalling, secure Layer 3 wireless roaming, IEE 802.11d multi-country roaming, and integrated Wireless Guest Services (WGS) to enforce password access for customers and guests.
Exceptional wireless performance.
Features include 40 MHz channels and packet aggregation to support data rates of up to 600 Mbps. Dual-Radio and Dual-Band supports operation on either 2.4 GHz or 5.0 GHz networks.
Centralized WLAN management.
Central WLAN management can be administered using SonicWALL TZ, Network Security Appliance (NSA) or E-Class NSA Series firewalls, and requires no pre-configuration of the SonicPoint devices.
Enhanced wireless reliability.
Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) technology utilizes multiple antennas to enhance throughput and reliability. Dual radio functionality is also offered by SonicPoint-N Dual-Radio, where one channel can be dedicated to compliance testing and the other to user support.
Flexible deployment.
Options include either wall or ceiling mounting and 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) for easy deployment where electrical outlets are not readily accessible. SonicPoint-N Dual-Radio and SonicPoint-Ne Dual-Band access points can also be powered directly through an AC adapter.
Discreet deployment.
SonicPoint-N Dual-Radio, SonicPoint-Ni and SonicPoint-Ne Dual-Band have dimmable LEDs (excluding power) and plastic covers that can obscure both the logo and LEDs for environments that need discreet wireless coverage. SonicPoint-Ni models also feature internal antennas.
Virtual Access Point (VAP) Segmentation.
Administrators can enable up to eight SSIDs for dedicated authentication and privacy settings, all sharing the same physical infrastructure, providing logical segmentation of both secure wireless network traffic and customer access.

VAP is supported when the SonicPoint-N Dual-Band is connected to an NSA 240 or higher.
Broad support for standards and protocols.
By including 802.11a/b/g/n, WPA2, and WPA, businesses can continue utilizing older 802.11a/b/g devices while smoothing the transition to 802.11n capability.
Granular secular policy enforcement.
IT administrators can implement firewall rules to all wireless traffic and control all wireless client communications to any host on the network—wired or wireless.
FairNet wireless bandwidth allocation.
SonicPoints can be configured to guarantee a minimum amount of bandwidth to each wireless client in order to prevent disproportionate bandwidth consumption by a single user.
