Used them to hang framed mirrors. Heavy duty hooks seem to support them easily where only dry wall is available for placement. I may need to get more!

I believe this is the best option for hanging pictures. The only little problem is when you come across a stud in the wall..
you can't use this product then. The hole will be there for a while till you find ways to properly caulk it..
